Download the MaxelTracker Time Tracking App for Desktop

Requirements:

Supported Versions - MaxelTracker supports Windows 8 and above OS.

Hardware - MaxelTracker will run with basic hardware configuration, but for a seamless experience, 8 GB RAM and an SSD are recommended.

Antivirus and Exceptions - If the system is enabled with any third-party antivirus or Windows firewall, then an exception for the MaxelTracker app needs to be created in the Antivirus or firewall configuration settings in order to avoid interruption in usage.

Note: Do not rename the downloaded file. Follow the same steps as V1 once downloaded. Make sure you have installed Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime 2015–2022 (Download from here) before installing.

Standard Installation

Download the V2 installer and follow the same setup steps as V1. The process is identical — only the binary is updated.

Steps to install MaxelTracker

Double-click to install the MaxelTracker Setup.exe, which might be located in the Downloads folder.
a. This will automatically begin the installation process.
b. The setup window will close once the installation is complete.

After installation, the MaxelTracker app will open automatically.

You’ll be redirected to the login page. Enter your Username and Password, then click Sign In.

Once logged in, return to the app and click Clock In to start tracking.

Steps to Uninstall MaxelTracker

Open MaxelTracker from your system.

When attempting to quit or uninstall, you will be prompted to enter a password.

Ask your Super Admin for the uninstall password sent to their Dashboard.

Once you enter the password, MaxelTracker will allow you to exit the application.

Now, search for and open the Control Panel from the Start menu.

Click on "Uninstall a program" under the Programs section.

Locate "MaxelTracker" in the list of installed programs and select it.

Click "Uninstall" from the top menu.

When prompted, choose "Remove all components" and click "Next".

Click "Uninstall" to begin the removal process.

Once the process is complete, click "Finish".

Stealth Installation

The app runs silently in the background with no visible window. Uninstall requires admin and must be preceded by a force logout.

Download the Setup File

Click to download the installer directly to the computer.

Steps to install

Locate SystemEventsHost-Setup.exe in the Downloads folder. Right-click it and select Run as administrator.

A User Account Control prompt will appear. Click Yes to allow the installation.

A login window will appear. Enter the employee's Maxel email and password and click Authenticate.

After login the window closes. The app runs silently in the background — no desktop icon or visible window. It will auto-start on every Windows login.

Uninstallation Guide

Important: The user must be force-logged out from the Maxel admin dashboard before uninstalling. Skipping this step may leave background processes running.

Steps to uninstall

From the Maxel admin panel, find the employee and click Force Logout. The login window will reappear on their machine.

On the employee's machine go to Settings → Apps & features. Search for SystemEventsHost, select it and click Uninstall.

A User Account Control prompt may appear. Click Yes to confirm and complete the uninstallation.
